Three Civilisations: Morocco, Andalusia & Portugal
Duration
13 Days 10 Nights
Next Departure
31 August 2026
Destinations
Morocco, Spain, Portugal
Thirteen days across three countries — and the thread running through all of them is Islam's fingerprint on the western world. A mosque that became a cathedral. A palace that took 200 years to build. A blue city in the Rif Mountains that has no particularly logical reason to exist, and yet does. This tour is for the traveller who wants context with their landmarks — who leaves knowing why these places matter, not just that they're famous.
- ◆Hassan II Mosque — the largest mosque in Morocco and 7th largest in the world
- ◆Jemaa El-Fnaa Square, Marrakech — UNESCO-listed open-air cultural theater
- ◆Chefchaouen — the iconic Blue City set in the Rif Mountains
- ◆Ferry crossing through the Strait of Gibraltar — where Africa meets Europe
- ◆Alhambra Palace & Generalife Gardens, Granada — UNESCO World Heritage Site (entrance included)
- ◆Mezquita-Cathedral of Cordoba — iconic forest of columns blending Islamic and Christian architecture (entrance included)
- ◆Belem Tower & Jeronimos Monastery, Lisbon — Manueline masterpieces of Portugal's Age of Discovery
- ◆Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid — Spain's largest mosque
- ◆Santiago Bernabéu Stadium — home of Real Madrid FC
- ◆Muslim-friendly tour with English-speaking guide throughout
Day-by-Day
You land in Casablanca and the tour begins immediately — no easing in. The Hassan II Mosque is the right first stop: built on a promontory over the Atlantic, it’s the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the few open to non-Muslim visitors. After that, it’s a 3-hour drive to Marrakech, arriving in time for the evening at Jemaa El-Fnaa. Expect a long day, but an honest one.
Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca — Built to be seen from sea, its 210-metre minaret is the world’s tallest. The interior is open to visitors in guided groups — worth seeing before the medina context later in the trip.
Jemaa El-Fnaa Square, Marrakech — UNESCO-listed and genuinely different at night. The square transforms from a market to an open-air performance space after dusk. Walk it, don’t rush it.
